Saturday 11th July

Break out the neon, tease up the hair, and rewind the good times — Essex is going full 80s this summer! 

On Saturday 11th July headlining our main stage will feature the 70's and 80's legends Odyssey and Heatwave. Add in to the mix 7 amazing tributes to Blondie, Madness, Elton John, Boy George, Whitney Houston, The Blues Brothers and Fleetwood Mac. 

Leading you on your fantastic journey back to the 80's is the legendary DJ, Ska n Mash and he will be playing all your favourite 80's hits.

Also, included in your ticket is a second SOUL stage, hosted by Solar Radio, presenting their best soul DJs and live acts!

Think big tunes, bigger vibes, and a day packed with sunshine, dancing, and pure throwback energy.

From feel-good beats to festival treats, it’s your chance to party like it’s 1989 and make memories that’ll last longer than your favourite cassette tape.

Expect professional acts, great atmosphere, and a full festival setup with food and drink vendors, making it the perfect day out for music lovers, couples, families, and groups of friends looking for a quality festival in Essex.

Sunday 12th July

Sunday 12th July is packed with lots of fun! The main stage will feature loads of amazing, family friendly tributes to Taylor Swift, Harry Syles, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Charlie XCX, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan. This all comes with festival style production featuring confetti, bubbles and more!

As well as this, join us at the Kids Party tent which has a whole range of children's entertainers! There will be Party Monsters, Jelly Jade, The Science Dude and AJ Entertainer.

Included in your ticket price is a petting zoo, live wrestling, birds of prey, Punch and Judy shows, and Dinosaurs to name a few.

For an additional cost we have fairground rides, market stalls, inflatables, and food vendors.

Due to popular demand, we also have the Rock Stage back. See your favourite local bands such as Expose, Blue Mantis, Half Stoned, Born Wild, Dylan Lee and more. All included in your Sunday ticket.

WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL?

HARROW LODGE PARK

Hornchurch, RM11 1JU

The event takes place in Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch. It is very accessible by public transport with local bus routes going close by including 248, 365, 193 and 252.

 

The venue is also close to 2 tube stations: Hornchurch and Elm Park which are on the District Line. It is a 10minute bus journey from Romford Station which is on the Elizabeth Line and also national rail services to other areas in Essex.

Essex Summer Fest is proud to support Mind Havering, Barking and Dagenham, helping raise awareness for mental health and wellbeing in the local community.

 

By attending Essex Summer Fest, you are also supporting the important work Mind carries out to provide advice, support, and services for people experiencing mental health challenges across the area.

Our Kids Tent at Essex Summer Fest is packed with some of the UK’s favourite children’s entertainers, bringing non-stop fun, laughter, and interactive experiences for young festival-goers. How do I get to the Essex Summer Fest?

Are there any age restrictions at Essex Summer Fest?

No, Essex Summer Fest is a family friendly event for all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring alcohol into Essex Summer Fest?

No alcohol is permitted to be brought into Essex Summer Fest. Security will check your bags on entry.  There is an onsite bar serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. All money raised on the bar goes to the mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham.

 Can I bring food/soft drinks into Essex Summer Fest?

You are allowed to bring in a reasonable amount of your own food into the Essex Summer Fest. I.e. a picnic coolbox size container. No trolleys will be permitted inside.

There will be a wide variety of food and drink stalls inside the festival, serving up organic, vegetarian and vegan options. You can bring in soft drinks such as fizzy drinks or water, but these must be in factory sealed and unopened containers such as a plastic bottle or can. No glass is permitted. Security will check all bags on arrival and body searches so please stick to these rules.

  

Am I able to refill a water bottle at Essex Summer Fest?

Unfortunately, Essex Summer Fest do not have access to running water at the event. There are free cups of water available at the bar and bottles of water to purchase. You can bring in your own bottles of water but these must be in factory sealed and unopened bottles. No refillable bottles are allowed.

Can I leave Essex Summer Fest venue and come back in?

Yes you can leave Essex Summer Fest and come back in. Please ask the security at the entrance/exit gate for a wristband.

Saturday 11th July: Last re entry is at 7:30pm.

Sunday 12th July: Last re entry is at 4pm

Can I bring a camping/folding/pop up chair into Essex Summer Fest?

Yes! You can also bring picnic blankets to Essex Summer Fest. There will be an area close to the stage which will be marked off as a ‘dancing area’. Please do not place any blankets or chairs in this area.

Can I bring a gazebo or parasol into Essex Summer Fest?

No gazebos or parasols are permitted inside Essex Summer Fest. There will be marquees around the site for shade and shelter.

​

Can I bring my dog into Essex Summer Fest?

Yes you can bring dogs to Essex Summer Fest but they must be kept on leads at all times. We reserve the right to not permit entry to any dogs we deem as unruly. Please be wary of the weather on that weekend.

  

Is there parking at the Essex Summer Fest?

There is a small public carpark inside the park close to the event site, which is free. However, we strongly advise you to take public transport if you can.

There is ample parking in the local area. If you are parking on a nearby residential street, please do so responsibly and respectfully.

What disabled facilities are there at the event?

There is not a designated disabled viewing platform or area at the event. There is disabled access toilets on site. There is limited blue badge parking available in the public carpark, however we are unable to reserve any spaces so it will be a case of first come first serve. There will be a dedicated disabled accessible entrance.

​

Do you do carer tickets?

As we are raising money for charity, we do not offer any concessions, including carer tickets.

 

Can I get a taxi from the site?

The event takes place in a public park close to Hornchurch Town Centre so it is easily accesses by a range of taxi companies and uber drivers. Please always use registered firms.

 

What is included in my ticket price?

Saturday 11th July: all acts on the main stage, the acts on the Soul stage and the Silent Disco. Fun fair rides and inflatables are an extra cost

Sunday 12th July: all acts on the main stage, the acts on the Rock stage, the kids tent, the Arena area shows, live wrestling, animals, soft play and so on. Fun fair rides and inflatables are an extra cost

When will I get my ticket?

When you book you will receive a booking confirmation email from the booking agent Skiddle. On the week before the event Skiddle will send you an email with your ticket/QR code attached. Please check your junk mail.

​

Do you do a weekend ticket?

No we don’t do a weekend ticket this year.

 

Do children need a ticket to attend?

Yes children aged 3-17 require their own ticket for each event.

Children under 3 do not require a ticket and are free.

​

Why do you charge a booking fee?

The booking fee covers the transaction fees charged by our platform partner, Skiddle and the payment processing fee charged by our payment partner, Stripe.

 

What can I not bring into the festival?

The following items will not be permitted: alcohol; food; Chinese lanterns; candles; paraffin lamps; sound systems; generators; BBQs; drones; laser pens; selfie sticks; all illegal drugs and psychoactive substances; compressed gas containers; aerosols; flares; air horns; flag sticks; banners, signs or materials displaying political, religious, offensive or race-related messages, slogans or images; any item that an Authorised Person considers dangerous. Any Prohibited Items may be removed, confiscated and/or destroyed even if the item itself is not illegal without compensation at the discretion of any Authorised Person

 

What is your bag policy?

We recommend bringing no more than a small bag to the festival, however, larger bags are permitted. We know families with little ones often need to have a lot with them!

For the safety and security of all attendees, our security staff will be carrying out random bag searches. No food or drink is permitted inside the festival, except either a sealed water bottle or an empty refillable water container. There are water points inside the arena.

 

What are the ground conditions like at the Essex Summer Fest?

The event takes place on a field in a public park. Some areas may be a little bumpy but it is generally flat.

Can I get a refund on my tickets?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the Essex Summer Fest is cancelled by the Organiser.

 

Is the Essex Summer Fest a charity event?

The Essex Summer Fest is organised by the local mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham and all money raised goes towards them to help support local people who are experiencing problems with their mental health.

Please be assured the event will have a fantastic professional production!
